Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation Announces Date for Annual Stockholders Meeting

OAK BROOK, Ill., Feb 18, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (NASDAQ:GLDD), the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of commercial and industrial demolition services, today announced that its 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders will be held on May 5, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. C.S.T. at the Renaissance Hotel, 2100 Spring Road, Oak Brook, Illinois 60523 for the following purposes:

    1.     To elect one director to serve for a three-year term or until his/her respective successor is elected and qualified;
           
    2.     To ratify Deloitte & Touche LLP as the independent auditor of the Company for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2010; and
           
    3.     To transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournments thereof.

The Board of Directors also set the close of business on March 24, 2010 as the record date for holders of the Company's common stock entitled to notice of and authorized to vote at such Annual Meeting.

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation is the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and the only U.S. dredging company with significant international operations, averaging 30% of its dredging revenues over the last three years.
